Grants

The Texas Society for Hand Therapy offers three types of grants to our members: education, research, and community service.  All grants are open to Active and Affiliate members.  The grant application will open in October 2025.

Research Grant: $250-500

The TSHT Research Grant is intended to support clinical research projects that will find and report new knowledge about hand therapy practices.  Both novice or experienced researchers, occupational or physical therapists, who are current TSHT members may apply.  The proposed project should be convincing, innovative, and demonstrate intellectual rigor and integrity.  The grant is awarded to fund research with the firm requirement that the research will be disseminated through publication or presentation.

Education Grant: $250-500

The TSHT Education Grant is intended to assist an individual in bringing awareness to the public through speaking or publishing educational materials.

Outreach Grant: $250-500

The TSHT Outreach Grant supports service at the community, state, national, and international levels.  This grant can also be used to visit Austin for "Day at the Capitol" to assist with travel expenses.
